This decision came after a meeting held in Abuja by the National Opposition Coalition Group.

The meeting was chaired by former Senate President, Senator David Mark.

During the meeting, a 15-member committee was formed to lead the process of registering the group as a political party with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The committee, led by former Transport Minister and ex-Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, is tasked with setting up the party structure.

Dr. Umar Ardo, a former aide to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, was named as the committee’s secretary.

The committee has been directed to secure an office for the party and open a bank account.

They will also oversee the legal registration process and build the party’s foundation.

The meeting approved the party’s name, logo, motto, and a constitution to guide its operations.

The formation of ADA is seen as an effort to unite opposition forces and challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

There is growing public dissatisfaction, and the coalition hopes to take advantage of it.

The ADA is expected to bring together several political figures and groups.

Supporters believe that a united opposition may have a stronger chance at the polls.

The party is still in the early stages but is working quickly to meet INEC’s requirements for official recognition.

With the naming of interim leaders and plans to register with INEC, the opposition appears ready to launch a serious campaign ahead of the next election.

Atiku, El Rufai and co thinks that Tinubu is Good luck Jonathan that they gang up to remove. In fact, they didn’t removed him but the man voluntarily hand over power without interfering in the election process. I bet the opposition with everything I have that Tinubu will give them the shock of their life come 2027. As Tinubu beats Buhari’s choice for president in 2023 to emerge as the flag bearer of APC then, he will do it again in 2027. Tinubu is not Jonathan mine you! In fact , the constitution of Nigeria didn’t favours Jonathan to contest again as president after ruling for six years. No wonder the man bows out honorably. Tinubu’s case is different. He is qualified by the constitution to seek re-election come 2027 and he will win. Let of opposition in Nigeria and in the diaspora unite, they can’t removed President Bola Amed Tinubu. I bet them!
