The widow of the former Governor of Ondo State, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has stated that if there is anything like another life, she will marry Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu.
Nigerian Tribune reported that Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, who hails from Imo state stated this during the burial of her husband in Owo kingdom in Ondo State on Friday.
The burial service was attended by the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Ibrahim Shettima, Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, Senate Leader, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, former House of Representatives member, Hon. Bimbo Daramola and many other influential Nigerians.
Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu said; “You came to terms with my position on religion and respected my choice of pragmatism. And a peaceful home we built by respecting each other’s idiosyncrasies, supporting each other’s career pathways and loving each other at the same time. That you were courageous and fearless are now like a radio jingle on the lips of all and sundry.”
She added; “During our early years of marriage when we started from the scratch, you made sure we didn’t lack. You took care of me and the children. With time, you became the best husband, dad and grandpa any wife, child or grandchild would wish for. We were soul mates.”
She noted; “If there is anything like another life, I will marry you and you remain my Darling”
