AMBUSHED: Armed Bandits On 20 Motorcycles Open Fire On Military Patrol Vehicle, Kill Four Soldiers

Heavily armed bandits ambushed and killed four soldiers in Gudu Local Government Area of Sokoto State over the weekend.

The attack occurred around 4 p.m. along the Kukurau-Bangi Road while the soldiers were on patrol.

The ambush also resulted in two soldiers being injured. The bandits were riding approximately 20 motorcycles. Eyewitnesses say they not only targeted the soldiers but also set ablaze two of their patrol vehicles. …CONTINUE READING

Yahaya Gudu, a member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly representing Gudu Constituency, confirmed the incident to journalists.

He expressed deep concern over the attack and noted that Governor Ahmed Aliyu was informed and promptly dispatched reinforcements to the area.
