The spirit of Christmas comes with the spirit of love, kindness, generosity and of goodness. It illuminates the picture window of the soul, and as we look out upon the world’s busy life, we become more interested in people than in things.

No doubt the Governor of Borno State, Kasim Shettima, has keyed into this wonderful season’s spirit even in the midst of the Country’s crumbling economy situation.

It was gathered that the Governor donated the whooping sum of N20 million to Civilian Joint Task Force in the State

The donation was made as a result of the support the civilian JTF have been giving to the military in fighting crisis rocking the North-East caused by the Boko Haram terrorist group, in which Borno state happens to be the worst hit state.

According to report, Governor Shettima met with the volunteers yesterday, many of whom have been instrumental in the fight against Boko Haram, and made the donation. This will serve as a morale boaster for them in ensuring the security of other citizens of the state.
