The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has extended the application deadline for its ongoing 2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise.

The Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril made this known in a statement issued on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

The recruitment portal, originally scheduled to close on Monday, August 4, 2025, will now remain open until Monday, 11th August 2025.

As reported by Nigerian Tribune, Jibril reminded applicants that the official application portal remains “https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng”

The Board emphasised that the recruitment process is “free of charge” and will be conducted in a “fair and transparent” manner.

According to the release, “this extension is geared towards providing additional opportunity for applicants willing to be enlisted into any of the Paramilitary Services as well as the Board.”

Legit reports that CDCFIB oversees four paramilitary agencies: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.

The CDCFIB is the governing body that manages recruitment, appointments, and disciplinary matters within these four services.

Recruitment: CDCFIB releases new notice to applicants

Recall that the CDCFIB directed 2025 recruitment applicants who applied before the portal upgrade to verify and resubmit their information.

Only applications submitted before the upgrade are valid on the portal; new entries are not accepted and may override previous records.

The Board assures a fair recruitment process and urges applicants to follow official updates for further instructions.
