On Monday, a male adult who has yet to be identified was killed in a clash between Yoruba Nation agitators and police in the Ojota area of Lagos State.
Benjamin Hundeyin, a police spokesperson in Lagos, confirmed the death of the unidentified person. He stated that Command personnel had been dispatched to the scene.

Commuters fled to safety in the midst of the chaos that erupted on Monday morning.

According to a source, some agitators came out to demand Yoruba Nation, among other things, and the police came out to stop them, resulting in a clash.

According to a confirmed police source, the men of the Lagos State Police Command came out in procession with a detachment of personnel from the Rapid Response Squad, State Taskforce, and conventional divisional officers shortly after the agitators took to the streets.
When security personnel arrived on the scene, they used tear gas to disperse the crowd.

The ensuing riot allegedly resulted in the burning of a police van.
