Award-winning pop singer Davido has reacted excitedly to the release of his bestie, Cubana Chief Priest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The Instagram celebrity regained freedom on Monday night after he allegedly spent six days in EFCC’s custody.
Checks revealed EFCC operatives arrested the socialite at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja last Wednesday.
Although EFCC didn’t make details of his arrest public, it was learnt the 41-year-old socialite was quizzed for alleged money laundering and tax evasion.
Fans and friends were euphoric upon seeing the celebrity barman’s post on Monday night, announcing his release from EFCC’s custody after his long silence on Instagram.
Reacting to the news, “the Champion Sound” took to his Insta story where he affirmed Cubana Chief Priest was his ‘bestie’ as the latter has on several occasions called him that.
Davido wrote: “MY BESTIE IS FREE!! @cubana_chiefpriest.”
