For close to two years, the Governor of River State, Sim Fubara, has enjoyed victory in the battle with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, basically on the House of Assembly and local government issue. Fubara found a way along the line to have lawmakers loyal to him to be in control of the house while he ensured a local government election was held to displace council chairmen loyal to Nyesom Wike.

While Fubara was hailed by every political analyst and figures across the country, Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church warned him to be careful of Wike because the plan is to remove him from his seat as governor. …CONTINUE READING

Primate Ayodele mentioned this severally, in different videos and interviews, that while Fubara is enjoying victory, he must be on alert because Wike will fight him till the very end.

In one of the videos, Ayodele asked Wubara to be ready for a serious battle because Wike will not forgive him till he brings him down.

He said: “The Rivers state governor should be ready for a serious battle, his predecessor will not forgive him, use his party against him. He has just started his problems and he will face a lot more. There is nothing the governor will do that will be appreciated.”

In another, he noted that his fear is that they will impeach Fubara unless he goes all out. He also revealed that a situation of two governors emerging in Rivers State will come up except Fubara does everything necessary to avoid it.

He said: “Wike wants to bring Fubara down completely. My fear is that they will impeach Fubara unless he goes all out. They will impeach him or two governors will emerge in Rivers state. The problem in the state will not end soon. They will do state congress and other elections but he won’t get anyone on his side.”

Deji Adeyanju Warns Wike: FCT Is Not Rivers State Where You Write Election Results And Shoot Guns

Yesterday, the victory Fubara has been enjoying was thrown into the red sea with landmark judgments from the supreme court; the assembly leadership  loyal to former Governor Wike was restored and the local government election was rendered null and void. This simply means the current leadership of the house will have to step down for the restored leadership to take over.

With the issues on ground before the former leadership was ousted, will Primate Ayodele’s prophecy on Fubara’s impeachment come to pass? Fingers crossed.
