Shehu Sani Reacts To Tony Elumelu’s Claim of Ex-President Buhari and Late Kyari Blocking Oilfield Purchase

The former federal lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the red chamber of the national assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted on X (formerly Twitter) to Tony Elumelu’s recent disclosure that former President Muhammadu Buhari and his late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari obstructed his attempt to buy an oilfield.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Elumelu revealed that despite securing substantial funding, his company’s proposal to acquire the oilfield was blocked by former president Muhammadu Buhari and his Chief of Staff Abba Kyari.

Elumelu expressed his concern over oil theft, noting that this issue has driven international oil companies to divest from Nigeria. He highlighted his personal experience with the theft of crude oil from his company’s pipelines as a key factor in the divestment. …CONTINUE READING
