Nollywood star, Kehinde Bankole, wants to do the nightingale

Many Nollywood actresses have tried it, but only few of them – if any –have a success story. Being a musician these days may seem the shortcut to stardom, but it can also be the short tunnel to obscurity as it requires not only good look but a lot of talents and discipline.

Kehinde Bankola no doubt is one of the most talented female actresses in Nollywood presently; she has won several awards, especially for her role in Kunle Afolayan’s October 1, but few persons can vouch for her talent when it comes to singing.

In an interview, the beautiful actress said she will someday delve into music like Genevieve, Omotola, Tonto Dike, Kate Henshaw, Dayo Amusa, etc. (mind you, none of these names resonate anymore in the music world).

In the interview, she said: “Music is a part of my everyday life. I minister in songs and I believe that music is part of me. I have not given it a serious thought but if I get a record deal or my partners and I are asked to sing in a concert, we will take it. Music is part of my work and my personal life”
