Ooni’s Coronation: Security beefed up in Ile-Ife

Adequate security has been deployed in Ile-Ife, a major town in Osun state, as preparations for the coronation of Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, reach advanced stages.
Policemen were seen on parade along Sabo, Lagere and Mayfair area of Ife on Sunday
Also the Federal Road Safety Corps manned major road links and junctions controlling the increased traffic within the ancient town.
Already, large and colourful banners adorned strategic locations in the town congratulating the new Ooni.
Meanwhile, roads in Ife are receiving some face-lift and repairs as part of the preparations for the event.
President Muhammadu Buhari, and other dignitaries from within and outside Nigeria are expected at the coronation ceremony.
Hotels are also not left out, as they are seizing the moment to record good business.
The coronation is expected to hold in the early hours today December 7.
