Probe Aregbesola now, Labour Party tells EFCC, ICPC.

The Osun State chapter of the Labour Party has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission to investigate the activities of Governor Rauf Aregbesola. The party is of the opinion that Aregbesola has grossly mismanaged the state’s finances.
This was made known to the press by the Chairman of the LP in the state, Mr. Tunde Olatunji, and the former governorship candidate of the party, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, in Osogbo at the party’s stakeholders meeting.
The opposition party said the inability of the state government to pay its workers and other problems confronting the state were caused by the maladministration of the All Progressives Congress government in the state.
In a statement, the party said: “Our dear state is in a messy situation today and the people are messed up too through the visionless administration of Aregbesola. Many things have gone awry which now make it compelling, more than ever before, for the EFCC and ICPC to look seriously into the activities of the Aregbesola administration.
“We can’t continue like this. The situation is hopeless. Salaries are not being paid and everything appears to be at a standstill.
“Aregbesola has ruined our state and bruised the psyche of our people. Earnestly, our people are yearning for change. This, we must all work towards. Enough of this deceit which has foisted untold hardship on our people.”
However, the APC in the state has said history will vindicate Aregbesola.
The ruling part said the governor had performed very well, contrary to the claims of his critics.
The APC said this through the Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Mr. Kunle Oyatomi.
The ruling party said this while responding to the award which the Nigerian Association of Primary Schools Head-Teachers presented to the governor to acknowledge his education policy.

Oyatomi said, “History will vindicate Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, regardless of what pessimists and envious critics may have to say about his tenure.

“Indeed, knowledgeable people in the country, who have seen through the quality and content of his programmes, are already giving him thumbs up, especially on education.”
