Protesters stage peaceful rally to demand resignation of Saraki

…demand the immediate return of 36 SUVs recently acquired by the Senators

A civil society organisation under the aegis of Citizens United for Peace and Stability (CUPS) today staged a peaceful rally to demand the immediate resignation of the embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki over the myriad of corruption cases preferred against him both locally and internationally as well as the purchase of SUVs for the Senator at exorbitant price.

The protest which took off from the Unity Fountain near Transcorp Hilton is heading toward National Assembly. The protester has vowed to begin their sit-out and at National Assembly until Saraki tenders his resignation letter and the return of the 36 SUVs the lawmakers recently purchased.
