Sad End! Former Konga CEO, Nick Imudia, Commits Suicide

Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Konga, Nick Imudia, has reportedly died by suicide.

Imudia took his life by jumping from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki area of  Lagos state on Tuesday, June 25,

Before his death, Imudia was said to have called his brother based in the United States to give instructions on how to distribute his wealth should anything happen to him.

The deceased also reached out to his young daughter from a previous relationship, telling her he would always be there for her and that she only needed to look in the sky to see him. …CONTINUE READING

Following the tragic incident, friends, family, and business associates  are still in shock, as it is uncertain why he would take his own life.

Imudia, who hailed from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, was previously married to the mother of his young daughter, who is also from the same local government.

The marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin on Thursday said, “Yes, it is true. He committed the act on June 25.”

The details of the ugly incident was sighted in a post on Facebook by one Adeola Fayehun.

Adeola wrote, “People are struggling, be kind! Nick Imudia, the CEO of D.light, a leading innovator in residential solar energy solutions, has died by suicide in his apartment. Imudia was a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of one of Nigeria’s e-commerce giants, Konga.

“He killed himself on the night of Tuesday, June 25, by jumping from the balcony of his Lekki, Lagos apartment. Before making the jump, he called his US-based brother to give instructions on how to distribute his wealth should anything happen to him.
