It runs in the family… How Mohammed Indimi becomes in-law to Nigeria’s most powerful families

Some people’s money is merited. Other people’s money is inherited. But Mohammed Indimi bridges both divides. The billionaire magnate currently enjoys the best of a charmed life. Besides being filthy rich, he recently became an in-law to the most powerful person in Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari.

Indimi certainly has a knack for pitching his tent with Nigeria’s ruling class. It would be recalled that he became ex-military President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB)’s in-law, soon after the latter made him a billionaire. And while he struggles to accept the sad fate of his daughter’s broken marriage with IBB’s son, Mohammed Babangida, his son providentially made him an-law to President Buhari by marrying the latter’s daughter.
Indimi founded Oriental Energy in 1990 and has since expanded the company’s assets across international boundaries. These assets include the Ebok Field (OML 67), Okwok Field (OML 67, and OML 115). In the year 2014, Forbes listed Mohammed Indimi as the Africa’s number 37th richest man.

He is happily married to Hajiya Samsu Samara Indimi and blessed with children, popular among them are Jibrilla Indimi, Yakolo Indimi-Babangida(Mrs), Ibrahim Indimi, Ahmed Indimi, Mustafa Indimi, Amina Indimi-Fodio, Adanma Indimi.
