When the name Mercy Johnson is mentioned, an image of a comic character on screen readily comes to mind. The curvy Nigeria actress who made her acting debut in the movie called ‘the maid’ in which she played the role of a possessed house help has a true story of grass to grace.
Since the debut of her movie in 2004, the actress has not had it bad in movie industry. Her name is known beyond the borders of Nigeria.
After marriage in 2011, the beautiful actress who used to be known for her sex roles and nudity became known for her comic roles in movies. Her comic roles in movies generated rumours on how producers have rejected her because she has lost her shape and does not fit into the role.
The movie star who since her marriage has kept a low profile disclosed in a recent interview on how her married life had changed her life positively. She explained that her husband is now her mentor.
The Actress confessed that she made sacrifices in order to keep her marriage. She also said she went extra-miles to learn her husband’s language before they got married and always ready to let go of anything that may affect her marriage.
She further explained that patience has changed everything about her and she wants to be a role model to her kids and the society at large.
“This is a brand new me. It is possible that my husband attends a party and my movie is being shown. I have to do things that represent him well at all times’.
Ever since I had my own kids, I learned to appreciate other children and humanity the more. My husband and children are top on my priority list at the moment and acting is secondary. I would let go of everything for them”. She said.
