Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule addressed the recent discussions regarding the relationship between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

During an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today program, Governor Sule downplayed the speculation surrounding El-Rufai’s loyalty to the party.

The governor also revealed that he has not been in touch with El-Rufai since he left office. He said, “I don’t know what he is doing, I do not know where he is, I don’t know anything about his movement.”

Regarding El-Rufai’s ministerial rejection, Governor Sule pointed out that the decision to appoint or reject ministers lies solely with President Bola Tinubu.

El-Rufai’s bid to become a minister was unsuccessful after he failed to pass the Nigerian Senate screening hurdles. Sources close to the former governor claim that he holds President Tinubu responsible for his misfortune and has vowed to fight back in the 2027 presidential election.

Additionally, El-Rufai is reportedly at odds with his successor, Uba Sani
