Details of the assets by former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari have been disclosed following his passing.

Notably, social media was struck with tragedy following the passing of Muhammadu Buhari on July 13, 2024, in London after a prolonged illness.

In a recent development, the military general’s assets have been publicly disclosed.

He owns five properties, including homes in Kaduna, Daura, Kano, and Abuja, as well as two mud houses.

Additionally, he possesses extensive agricultural holdings, comprising farms, an orchard, and a ranch with 270 heads of cattle, 25 sheep, five horses, and various birds.

Meanwhile, he also owns two undeveloped plots of land, has $150,000 in his personal bank account, and N30 million in a Union Bank account, as well as shares in Berger Paints, Union Bank, and Skye Bank.

No significant changes in wealth reported

Buhari reportedly made no additions to his portfolio compared to 2015.

“There are no new houses, no new bank accounts at home and abroad and there are no new shares acquired,” the Presidency stated.

The Code of Conduct Bureau’s chairman, Professor Mohammed Isa, commended Buhari for setting a good example by abiding by asset declaration laws.
