Super Eagles head coach Augustine Eguavoen has announced the squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.

The squad includes familiar faces like Captain William Ekong, in-form winger Moses Simon, midfielder Alex Iwobi, Atalanta star Ademola Lookman and Sevilla’s Chidera Ejuke.

The squad will face Libya in home-and-away fixtures, with the first match scheduled at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria, on Friday, 11th October followed by a trip to Benghazi for the return leg on Tuesday, 15th October. …CONTINUE READING

The absence of Victor Osimhen due to injury and the return of defender Bright Osayi-Samuel are notable talking points from the squad list, which was announced earlier today, October 5.

The squad will face Libya in home-and-away fixtures, with the first match scheduled at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria, on Friday, 11th October followed by a trip to Benghazi for the return leg on Tuesday, 15th October.

Note that the invited players are expected to report in Uyo on Monday, 7th October.
