Funke Reacts After Akeredolu’s Wife Called Her Shameless For Supporting Aiyedatiwa

Funke Akeredolu, a niece to late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, recently reacted after Akeredolu’s widow, Betty, publicly criticized her for endorsing Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s bid for governor

In a social media post, Betty described Funke as shameless over a viral photo of her (Funke) adorning an outfit and a face-cap in support of Aiyedatiwa.

According to a report by Nigerian Tribune, Funke, in her response to Betty’s criticism, affirmed her support for Aiyedatiwa. She also appreciated Aiyedatiwa for giving her uncle, Akeredolu a befitting burial.

In Funke’s words: “We held a programme on Sunday and my pictures were all over social media; it’s just blackmail. It is just politics and I want to believe that it is the opposition that took that picture and started sending it around with blackmail. I think that’s where the late governor’s wife (Betty) got the picture and felt disappointed that I’m not in their camp

“Mummy (Betty) that is fighting me and attacking me might have her own reason because she is not supporting this present governor. But all I know is that Aiyedatiwa gave my uncle a befitting burial which I think he did quite well.”
