‘I Strongly Support’ – Marafa On Trump’s Military Threat To Nigeria

A former lawmaker who represented Zamfara Central Senatorial District from 2011 to 2019, Kabiru Marafa has thrown his weight behind the threat of US President Donald Trump of military action in Nigeria.

Senator Marafa expressed this support on Wednesday when he appeared as a guest on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television monitored by DAILY POST.

“I strongly support the President of America, Donald Trump, for issuing that threat.

“I differ with a lot of Nigerians because most Nigerians look at it from the perspective of sovereignty, patriotism, which I subscribe to. But of what importance is sovereignty to a dead man?” He queried.

He stated that Trump’s comments put pressure on the Nigerian government to address insecurity in Nigeria.

His coming is coming against the backdrop of the recent wave of insecurity in the country where people are kidnapped, including women and children.

DAILY POST recalls that at least 24 schoolgirls were abducted from a school in Kebbi state. However, they have been reportedly released.

Similarly, more than 300 schoolchildren were kidnapped from a Catholic private school out of which 50 reportedly escaped and have been reunited with their families.
