The permutations to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election have taken a new twist following rumors of a new party bringing some top politicians across the country together to defeat the ruling party APC.

Politicians such as Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Rauf Aregbesola, Kayode Fayemi, Peter Obi, and others are allegedly brainstorming ways to work together to defeat Tinubu in 2027.

Former Kaduna State governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is taking the exit door from APC over a consistent attack on the government of President Tinubu in what many have described as the agony of a failed political appointment. …Continue Reading.

However, among the political gladiators is Labour Party hopeful candidate Peter Obi, who has been warned to stand alone as a pillar. At the same time, the country’s youth will be ready to vote him as Nigeria’s next president in 2027.

Some youths who voted for the Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election have vowed to relaunch the Obedient campaign to remind all the youths across the country that Peter Obi is our next president.

A young man named Okechukwu Nwata warned that Obi’s attempt to align with Atiku would result in his being stoned during the campaign.

“I don’t expect Peter Obi to join Atiku or El-Rufai for any collision against Tinubu in 2027. The youths are solidly behind him, we will go again to vote for him. ‘I can assure you that the angry youth in this country would go out to stone him instead of voting him if joins El-Rufai’s team.”

A trader at Alaba International Market angrily said: “El-Rufai doesn’t have the political clout Peter Obi has, it won’t be funny if he joins those northerners in 2027, only Obi can give us good governance.

Below are different comments

Martin: If El Rufai join Peter Obi. Obi is finished. Elrufai is an Islamophobia

Funmilayo5684: With Elrufai in the presidential equation is dead on arrival, bet me.

Shem Dimas: Little did Elrufai know that a moment of reckoning like this will come someday for exhibiting ethno-religious tendencies and barefaced bigotry quite unlike a nationalist he claims.

OBE: A vote for El-rufai is suicide mission for Nigeria. Obi should instead be nominated as president and El-rufai as vice.

Kingsley Oghenebrorie: This won’t fly if El Rufai is peg as the President or even vice President to anybody, let alone Peter Obi Gregory himself. It’s a stain for Peter Obi Gregory to be paired with El Rufai an extremist, religious bigots & self-centred man.

Meanwhile, Valentine Ozigbo says he can “guarantee” that Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 polls, will no longer run on the party’s platform.

Ozigbo, an ally of Obi and member of the Obidient Movement, resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2022 and joined the LP to support Obi’s presidential ambition.

On February 19, Ozigbo, an Anambra governorship hopeful, ditched LP for the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing his “unwavering commitment” to the greater vision for the state.

In his resignation letter, the former chief executive officer (CEO) of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria said he informed Obi of his decision as a “mark of deep respect” for his leadership.
