Our attention has been drawn to a factual inconsistency in the news culled from TheLight online magazine that, the MD of GTBank, Segun Agbaje was absent at the funeral of Dan Orogun, MD of the bank’s Liberia office. We have since been informed that the story is totally false. Mr. Agbaje attended the burial.

We sincerely apologise to Mr. Segun Agbaje and the management of GT Bank for the inconveniences the said article has caused them and we hereby retract the article in its entirety. There was no intention whatsoever to malign or disparage Mr. Segun Agbaje, a very reputable banker. The error is highly regretted.
