Who is afraid of Uche Ogah?…Why they seek the downfall of the state’s most illustrious son

Uche Ogah’s foes are like snakes hidden in the grass. The greatest among his enemies looms darkly and slithers fearfully like the deadly anaconda. This dangerous character is locked in a fearful death lunge against Ogah. This diehard adversary’s recent strike, like the anaconda’s, impacts terrifyingly in the heart and mind of the President of Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited.

Ogah’s traducer seeks to annihilate him and first, he seeks to obliterate the likable dude’s hard-earned reputation as a trustworthy and highly successful businessman.
And what better way to malign the illustrious son of Abia State than spread false, malicious rumours about him? Recently, the shady character went to town with the rumour that Uche had been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly committing atrocious fraud against an unsuspecting Nigerian citizen, Bridget Adeosun.
But while the rumour gained traction across the country’s social and business arena, more facts have emerged presenting a more accurate account of the whole saga.
Findings revealed that, contrary to the nefarious rumour being spread by Uche’s detractor, the oil and gas magnate was never arrested by the EFCC. Rather he was invited for a chat in respect of the controversial fraud allegation levelled against him.
Operatives of the EFCC on Monday morning, picked up Uche on the premises of a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Tinubu, Lagos Island. Ogah was arrested as soon as he stepped out of the courtroom after the forgery charges filed against him by the Police were withdrawn.
Ogah, who was declared winner of the last governorship election in Abia State by Justice Okon Abang of a Federal High Court in Abuja on June 27 was, on June 16, arraigned by the Police for alleged forgery. But the police on Monday morning withdrew the charges.
When the case was called, the police prosecutor, Henry Obiazi, told the presiding magistrate, Kikelomo Ayeye, that he had the instruction of the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to withdraw the charges against Ogah and his co-defendants.
“I am instructed by the IGP to withdraw this case, as the issue is pending with the SFU,” Obiazi said. The charges were consequently struck out by the court.
A source at the EFCC said the commission had received a petition from the complainant in the case against Ogah. The source said that Ogah was being interrogated. The Capital findings however, revealed that Ogah was never incarcerated or arrested as his traducer claimed.
Ogah was in fact, released on Monday evening after hours of questioning by the EFCC. His lawyer, Monday Ubani, disclosed this in a statement. Ubani said the EFCC released his client after discovering that the petition against him had no substance.
But while Abia State and Ogah’s loved ones struggle to come to deal with the malicious attack launched against him, highly placed sources within and outside Abia revealed that Ogah is being witch-hunted by the most powerful citizen of the state.
According to them, the character is scared silly of Ogah’s rising profile in the state. He is scared that Ogah seems set to trounce him at the state’s next gubernatorial elections. He is reportedly worried that very soon, Ogah will become the rallying point for the state’s most powerful people.
But why would he think ill of Ogah? Why is he very scared of Ogah? Why is he hell-bent on destroying Ogah’s hard-earned reputation?
